You meet your guide around 09:00 am. Then  you head to Chora Church to see the best examples of late Byzantium mosaic art. Here you chase the life of Virgin Mary, miracles of Jesus and the stories of Old Testament and Bible on the walls of Chora Church.

Then we walk to the city walls of Constantinople and visit the last Byzantium Palace attached to the city walls. From here we wander at the alley ways of Balat and walk through churches, mosques and synagogues to Golden Horn. At the end of this walk we visit the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and Basilica of St. George.

From here we continue to Suleymaniye Mosque which is one of the master pieces of Ottoman Architecture built by genius Mimar Sinan. It is the grandest mosque of all Turkish Mosques where also you can visit the memorial tombs of Suleyman The Magnificent, Haseki Hurrem Sultan (his favorite wife) and Mimar Sinan (The Master Architect)

Then we finish the tour around 16:00 and head back to the hotel.

  • The orders of visiting the sites can be changed by your guides.  
  • Chora Church is closed on Wednesdays so it will be replaced with Mihrimah Sultan Mosque near the city walls. 
  • You will meet your guide at a meeting point which you will be told after confirming the tour.
